my placenta encapsulation service consists of the ‘RAW  Foods Method.’ I take a fresh, raw placenta after birth; wash it, slice it, dehydrate it and grind it. The placenta powder is carefully transferred into vegan capsules. Once in capsules, I bottle them up in a glass jar for storing. I shape the umbilical cord into a heart shape as a keepsake. Both, capsules and cord are given to the mother within 7 days after birth.

The Raw Foods Method of preparation uses lower temperatures and no steaming. I do not add herbs, spices or any added igredients. This method of placenta preparation yields a higher, more potent capsule.

COMMON QUESTIONS

If I have a cesarean, can I encapsulate?

YES. You just let your doctor and nurse know once you arrive.

If I test positive for any diseases, can I encapsulate?

NO. For the safety of myself, I do not offer my services if this is the case.

I tested positive for STREP B, can I encapsulate?

YES. In this case, I no longer do the raw method--and instead of implement the chinese method. Which boils the placenta first & dehydration at higher temperatures to rid it of any bacteria.

If I have a traumatic birth, and my doctor wants to take my placenta for testing--can I encapsulate?

YES. You need to demand that your doctor only takes a piece of the placenta, rather than the entire thing. That way both parties are happy.

If I want to cord bank and encapsulate, can I do both?

YES. In this case, we just lose your umbilical cord. You will let your doctor and nurse know that they can cut the umbilical cord, but that your want the mother part of your placenta. 

Can my partner take my placenta?

In my opinion, I do not recommend this. As it is only your body that needs the nutrients given that you will of just given birth. This sacred practice is really only for the birthing person.

I don't like pills, is there another way for me to consume my placenta?

I tell my clients they can break open the capsules and pour the powder inside of a smoothie.
